Aegis Bicycles

     We at The Bike Stand think that the best made carbon fiber frame made today is an Aegis. Way out ahead of the rest. From what I know about carbon fibers the longer the better. And gluing up a main frame is just not as good as molding up a frame. A lot of the big names you and I know do the gluing up method. It may look like a bladder molded frame but it is not. It may be cheaper but not better. We have been selling Aegis for a number of years now and have yet run into a problem with one of their frames.      You can check ou the geometry for Aegis and see how well you fit on an Aegis.      The Bike Stand has a different plain than most shops out there the owner does all the assemblies on all the bikes. Most bike shops out there hire young kids and with in a few days are banging them out in 15 minutes or less. When I first open my shop in 1982 I decided to do it differently I decided to hire people to work on the floor and I would do the mechanical work. I understand why other stores do it differently then me the markup on bikes is very low and with the shipping, service, and assembly to do there is just not that much money in it. But I believe when the customers compare and see the difference in the work I do they come back for all their needs. Aegis Aro Svelte is a lightweight road frame under three pound rocket ship. I own and can tell you I do not do hills well and this made me competitive in the hills. It is stiff and light but did not beat me up on longer rides. Close as you can be to the perfect ride and made in the USA. .

Aegis Swift Is a lightweight woman's road frame under three pound. It is stiff and light but will not beat you up on longer rides. Well thought out with that curved down tube so they could bring in the top tube. Most smaller frames have to mess up the angles to get people to fit on them. I have built smaller frames out of steel and would love to be able to curve the dome tube to get the top tube shorter.
